Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ID Photo at idphoto.bnj.app ("the Service"), operated by Hugo Software. By using the Service you accept them.

1. What the Service does

The Service measures a photo you supply and crops it to the dimensions published by an official authority for passport, visa or ID photos. It also reports measurable quality checks (head height, resolution, tilt, sharpness, exposure, background uniformity).

2. What the Service is not

We are not a government body and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any authority. A photo produced here is not approved, certified or guaranteed to be accepted. The office reviewing your application makes the final decision, and it may reject a photo for reasons no software can measure — expression, lighting judgement, dress code, recency, or a rule that changed after we published our figures.

Use the Service as a measuring aid, not as a guarantee.

3. Accuracy of the standards

Sizes are taken from published official sources and each one is cited in the app and in the report. Requirements change without notice. We make no warranty that a figure is current for your specific document, country or consulate. Check the authority's own page before you print.

4. Free and paid use

Measuring, all standards, the on-screen report and a watermarked preview download are free. A paid subscription adds watermark-free files at print resolution, print sheets, background replacement, the printable report and batch export.

Subscriptions start with a free trial period shown at checkout, then renew automatically at the interval you chose (weekly, monthly or yearly) until cancelled. Prices are shown at checkout in the currency stated there.

5. Licence codes

Paid access is identified by a licence code in the form BNJ-XXXXXXXX. There is no account and no password. Keep your code. Anyone who has it can use the subscription; if you lose it and have no other record, we may be unable to restore access. Codes may cover more than one of our apps, as stated at purchase.

6. Cancelling and refunds

Cancel any time through the Stripe customer portal; access continues to the end of the paid period. Statutory rights to a refund (for example under EU/UK consumer law) are unaffected. Beyond those rights, refunds are at our discretion — write to us and we will look at it.

7. Your content

You keep all rights to your photos. Because processing happens entirely in your browser, we never receive them, so we acquire no rights and no ability to use them. You are responsible for having the right to use any photo you process, and for only submitting photos of yourself or of a person who has authorised you.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to create documents intended to deceive, to impersonate another person, or in any way that breaks the law where you are. Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse the payment/licence system.

9. Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change or discontinue features. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hugo Software is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for a rejected application, or for costs of reprinting, travel, missed appointments or delayed documents. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the date above shows the current version. Continued use after a change means acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
